Recycled Air Freshener Cover - To Mini Albums

Hello Everyone....

Posting my Year old recycled project... I just did the base to it & left it as is without finding the time to work on it to complete it... It laid in my HALF WAY THROUGH PROJECTS BOX until a week earlier when I finally decided to work on it & complete it....

And when I worked on the base I directly worked on it on the record mode after which there were no pictures of the final base of the albums... Hence managed to take screenshots for images of the same....

And here is the link to THE PROCESS of the base...

Making the base, happens in no time.... Stressful is filling it up.... With so many ideas reeling afront you... with so many thoughts rolling down ur lil brain, you need the time & the patience to choose the elements you wanna incorporate & then place the same in the frames that go with them....

You like something NOW... but dislike the same LATER when they do not satiate your picturization of the project... few things you dream different & they look different in real time.... then there's patience that is challenged as you rework on figuring out the next best options.... 😫

All said & done, am happy that they are finally complete & ready to be stacked into my FINISHED PROJECTS box...

All the elements added were from my stash... negatives, positives, scraps, just in cases, so on & so forth....

Used up a negative of die cut for the base on the cover of my masculine album....

It's always nice to add elements & textures for dimensions of interest...

Adding is a thrill for the artist when Admiration is a thrill for the patron & it all begins with adding.... 😍 An addition that bears the burden of balancing the project....

Though tiny it has helped with the importance to many of my "stashed elements to use" in its available space...

It has even helped me learn few things... my own charms... my own dangling... reuse broken stuffs... try hidden paper clip.... 😝

As I was filming my finished projects, a naked paper clip on my masculine album caught my attention which did not until then.... However, I turned the video off & worked on covering that paper clip which was done instantly in no time....

And later I went on with filming my project....

I have used varnish & mod podge over the cover to secure the elements of interest on them...

Used elastic twine from stash for closures.... On the masculine project it is as is....

however on the feminine project I added some beads onto it, to turn it into an embellishment when opened... A string of beads that dangles like a charm when the closure is removed....

The beads were not sufficient cuz I just added them into the twine as is... but when stretched for closure the spaces in between are easily visible which kinda grabs attention for its incompleteness which isn't nice.... but I had already burnt the end & locked it into the album.... so left it as is.... am not stressing over it.... it is still fine when it opens to be dangling on the side....

Here is the video that takes you through the projects....

Recycling & Upcycling is stressful but fun.... You must also give it a try if you have not as yet....

Hope you like the projects...

UNTIL NEXT, KEEP THE FAITH!!!
