MINI STICKY NOTE HOLDER
Hello Again....
Been long & that is cuz I had been travelling.... In Bangalore as of now & was bedridden too.... Just got fine & hoped to clear a project from my gallery.... Hence here now posting about the same...
It is a mini sticky note holder...
It is a perfect DIY for gifting purpose.... I love to save some in my purse as an instant NOTE OF THANKS for anyone when I feel obliged to their kindness; And sticky notes are something that comes handy for anyone anytime under any situation.......
when it is a tiny one it can be easily saved somewhere with all your other belongings, irrespective of age, gender & profession....
The basic sticky note is sized 1 1/2X2 inches...
which requires me to save a piece of card stock or design paper or card stock + design paper sized down to 5X2 inches.... which needs to be scored at 1 1/2" + 1 7/8" + 3 3/8" + 3 3/4" inches....
Not always the measurements are accurate when it is handmade.... so in case if you see the paper stand out a lil & it makes you uncomfortable, you could always go ahead & chop off the extra....
Else this measurement is just perfect for this basic sized sticky note....
Likewise the closures are also very important for these.... they are tiny & it needs something stable to hold the flaps together but at the same time being easier to interact with too....
Hence if you choose on a simpler closure then a single layered design paper or pattern paper is good for cover/holder.... as in a velcro dot OR elastic bands OR paper bands OR some adhesive drops etc.,
But if in case you seek a lil more advanced closure like magnet OR thick elastic bands, then double layers of card stocks or pattern paper or a mix of both MUST BE opted for....
Here I used card stock for the base of the cover to be covered with design paper which makes the holder sturdy enough to hold the magnets as well as interact comfortably....
And the magnets required ought to be strong too for them to interact at ease & still be stable enough for a regular usage....
AND NOW FOR THE SENTIMENT part of it.... You could use any of your choice.... birthday wish or anniversary or just anything... but for me they are mostly helpful as a NOTE OF THANKS.... hence I opted for my regular sentiment THANKS SO MUCH.... with minimal embellishment too... just a rhinestone used....
When I was done with these teeny weenies, I did give a try on a slight bigger notepad too....
2X3 inches...
Since the base was bigger I had lil more space to incorporate anything of my choice than stick to my regular....
Well here I began with design paper + card stock that measured 8 7/8" X 2" cuz I once again wanted to incorporate magnets for closure on a bigger space....
I then scored it down to 2 7/8" + 3 3/8" + 6 3/8" + 6 7/8" & the border could be anything of your choice.... you can leave it plain or simply just punch the corners with round corner punch as I did here OR you can also opt for a cute rich border with any of your border punches....
Since it was a bigger space I could use better sized pieces from the magnetic sheet which I failed with on my tiny holders....
Once that was taken care of I then opted for an image than simple sentiment only flap.... It was pre stamped image but unused, from stash.... As I arranged I found it complementing the project just fine & used it with a plain simple THANKS....
& completed it with green & white colored rhinestones.... to be true they were 2 white stone sticker bindis from my bindi packet.... 😚
That brings it to the end of the post.... Beneath is the video for reference... however the audio in the video isn't very clear cuz it had been a recording almost after a decade.... hence I was mostly muttering to self than audibly guide someone else....
Hope it inspires you to make your own lil NOTE OF THANKS.....
UNTIL NEXT, KEEP THE FAITH!!!
