Paper Crafted Fridge Magnets!

Hello...

😀😁😂😃😄😅😆😇😈😉😊😋😍😎😛😜😝

Seems like am on a blogging spree today.... Was adamant to clear the brimming over gallery on my phone.... So here I am, writing back to back....

With new year, I wanted to attempt making fridge magnets... not the regular ones available in the market.... made with resin or plastic or clay or anything else... Me being into paper crafts wanted to make lil fridge magnets with paper supplies.... & new year gave me the perfect reason & prop to work on....

I could use them as give away for the customers at my shop... & since our shop caters to men's garments, I thought on those lines....

I printed out printable 2025 calendar available online & chopped them out into months & piled them....

Prop was ready.... all I wanted now was the foundation or the base to place them on....

Watched a few videos of other magnets & I figured out what I needed to make mine....

1) Strong card as base....
2) Layers to build on....
3) Die cuts to embellish....
4) Magnet Strips.....

Worked on each respectively....

1) CARD BASE : I did not wanna use up my expensive CHIPBOARDS for this purpose for I wasn't charging but giving them away happily.... So when I wish to make others happy I ought to make myself happy first... 😆

Hence looked out for strong cardboards or papers to serve this purpose... To hold the layers & the prop & the magnet it had to be sturdy enough first.... so when I laid my hands on light weight cardboards or papers I glued them down together to give them the sturdiness required... So was happy with the base....

2) LAYERS : I could not overdo the layers cuz of size restrictions resulting in its ability to carry too... So I just covered my card base with a self adhesive design paper I ordered from Amazon... I then used my die from Spellbinders Shapeabilities Old Frame Dies.... The link is not to the exact die i used but to something similar cuz my dies aren't visible & they were way better than this.... So it was just a frame above which I adhered my calendar months pinned together....

3) EMBELLISHMENTS : Since I had to work on restricted area & it had to go with the products bought by the customers & the customers themselves, I now had to incorporate die cuts were size friendly & gender friendly... Hence used my Hats + Glasses + Pipe + Mustaches + Tie Die from ___________

4) Final was the adherence of the magnet strips on the behind of the project... I ordered a magnetic sheet from Amazon & cut a piece that sized 1 & 1/2 inch X 1 inch...

And my Fridge Magnet came into existence....

I kept wondering what I could do to get more over it... but nothing sparked in my lil head.... In case anyone thinks something else could also be incorporated within the given space, please do let me know.... I would be grateful.... 🙏

Since I did not make any video for it just skipped my mind, I do not have one as of now to share... But in case I made anymore I would definitely remember to make one & share the same with you too....

UNTIL NEXT, KEEP THE FAITH!!!
