New Year New Desk Calendar

Hello....

Posting my handmade desk calendar after a month passed of the new year.... 😓

Had been wanting to attempt one for long using my mini cinch book binding machine.... 

Before using it on this project had very lil patience to try it on a rough draft.... result of which was my calendar project screwed up on binding.... May be the spiral binds were a bigger size or something... no clue exactly but I would like to believe it was the size that did not curl around my book well... with the pages in my book being thinner than the spiral bind I used.... Phew 😖

yet here is the first look of my project despite the odd.... :P

Just used up few leftovers from stash for the covers.... but the pages were made with fabriano regular white cardstock, that I had picked up from landmark, Bangalore long back... almost a decade ago....

For the main image used a stamp from itsy bitsy ... chirpy garden .... That seemed perfect for this project cuz it had scope for colors as well as labels for text... 

For the months I used Calendar Stamp set from Itsy Bitsy.... And the colors are from Marvy Uchida Double Sided Markers ....

Am a stamping person.... not a water color person.... Hence using the colors directly on my projects is my biggest challenge... & moreover the paper wasn't for water colors.... I try to restrict it to minimal so the images do not get screwed.... yet sometimes mishaps happen & I just ought to cope.... when they are just for me & not for sale it is still fine for it gives me the chance for trial & error & not fear about it....

Other than teeny weeny mishaps, I quite liked the outcome on my first attempt of using cinch machine & making a completely handmade calendar from scratch....

It adores the desk of the counter in our clothing shop.... Happy Me 😍
